Cu Chi Tunnels is an underground defense system in Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Built in 1947, the system is about 200 kilometers long and was used as a hiding place, as well as hide weapons and documents of local people during the anti-French and American imperialism.
The tunnel system consists of various sections, such as underground tunnels, offices, clinics, rooms, kitchens and warehouses. During the war, the tunnel was the residence of the people in the raid of the French colonists, as well as the system of travel and communication between the hamlets to support each other.

In Cu Chi Tunnels there are many underground traps. The trap cover is disguised with grass and rocks so it looks like the surrounding environment, made it difficult for US soldiers to detect. Due to being excavated on laterite clay soils, the shelter system has high durability, less landslide and withstand the destructive power of large bombs of the US army.
The Ben Duoc Tunnels is located in Phu Hiep Hamlet, Phu My Hung Commune, Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City. Ben Duoc was the base of the Party Committee and the Command of the Saigon Military Region - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh.
In the Ben Duoc area, visitors are allowed to explore 2 places, which are the memorial site for Ben Duoc martyrs and the liberated area.
The temple was located in the heart of the Ben Duoc area that once surrounded by bombs. Throughout history, there had been so many people sacrificed and left to contribute to the fierce peace war. Therefore, the temple was built to commemorate the great contributions of the army and people who fought and died on the land of Saigon - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh. A temple is also a place for the young generations to remember, be grateful and proud of the Vietnamese ancestors.

Coming to Ben Duoc, you can see the great and majestic gate, following the traditional architecture of the nation with round rows of beads. The motifs and curved roofs are like village communal gates or ancient Vietnamese pagodas but renovated with new materials. In the middle of the gate is the signboard carved “Ben Duoc temple”.

In addition, in the temple's premises, tourists can visit 9 spaces of Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Temple, see the 9-floor tower with 39 meters high, the largest ceramic painting in Vietnam and the landscape of the park here.

This area was built with the idea of recreating the life, architecture, activities and fighting of the army and people of Cu Chi district from 1961 to 1972 for tourists to experience in the most realistic way. Therefore, visitors can truly understand the life of the resistance period.
There are different sections for different time periods
The liberated zone of Cu Chi Tunnels is divided into 3 main spaces to recreate 3 periods and other spaces to re-create the majestic battle sites. The first one recreates the time of the war in 1961 - 1964. The second one recreates the time of local warfare in 1965 - 1968. The third one recreates the war period from 1969 to 1972, which was the time when the war reached its peak.
You will have the chance to see the most realistic images of the Vietnamese war
There are also other places such as miniature simulations of One Pillar Pagoda, Ngo Mon Gate, Ben Nha Rong, and more. Excellent experience
It was an experience, that you will never forget, how it would have been during the war, with no light, food and much air and space. If you are able it is definitely worth going in the tunnel. It is not very long and a little bit of light and air. We will come back Cu Chi Tunnels again

Great time with the Halong bay & Bai Tu Long bay
Hello Hung ! A big hello from the us. We are checked into Queen hotel and also have been given free access to the internet for 1 night! Thank you for getting a wonderful trip - we had a lot of fun with the Halong Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay cruise, as well since the memorable "picnic" on the actual private beach with white We will have some more days to explore this particular exotic city you known as home, and will be bringing back around many fond of reminiscences Take care Sow Fung & Laurence.

Hello Giang What a nice surprise to know from you. Here in little Denmark we're approching the authum and also the weather is not such as in Vietnam: -( the sun i shinning however the tempeture is only 5 C so it's the beginning to obtain colder.As you know the two of us started on our brand new jobs on September 17 and sofar it's been a very good but additionally very busy period for that both of us. We really enjoyed our vacation in Vietnam and much because of your effort in telling all of us about Vietnam and bringing us nearer to the local Vietnam lifestyle. I promised you an image of our house as well as I enclosed one within this mail. Next week we are experiencing some very good buddies visiting us and by then I must finalize the "video" of all of the about 1100 pictues that people took during our journey. But right now it's a video lasting over two hours so I will need to shorten it for almost 1 hour. Wonderful time in Hanoi and Halong Bay

Good time in Vietnam
