These days in Ho Chi Minh City, there are countless types of transportation for you to travel around the inner city, including buses, taxis, motorbikes (if you rent one), etc, but the sincere advice here is that you should take a taxi. Buses are very cheap but it might be hard for you to travel since you are foreigners, not to mention that the bus in Ho Chi Minh City usually stops very early, so if you want to experience the nightlife, you won’t have transportation to go back.
There are many transportations for you to choose in Saigon
Motorbikes seem to be a great choice, but if you are not used to the hectic and chaotic traffic of Vietnam, you should go for the safest choice which is the taxi. It may cost a bit more, but it is safer and more convenient.
One of the most common customs of Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City, in particular, is the way people drink their coffee. Not in fancy shops, but on the sidewalks, with plastics chairs and small glass cups. Especially in the morning, when you can watch the rush of people passing by, listen to life stories, read some newspaper or chat with friends. That is always an interesting thing about Saigon morning.
Drinking coffees in plastic chairs has become a thing in Saigon
If you drink coffee in the public parks, you can not only chat freely with friends, you can also interact with a group of artists playing guitar, drums or mandolin. The air is fresh and cool thanks to the ancient trees, so the park is always the ideal choice if you have the opportunity to visit this bustling town.
