Cu Chi Tunnels is a famous historical relic of Vietnam
The tunnel is dug in an area of lateritic clay, so it is durable and less prone to erosion. Located about 70 kilometers northeast of Ho Chi Minh City center, this is a miniature place of the battle of the army and people of Cu Chi in the fierce long-term resistance war for 30 years against the enemies of independence and freedom for Vietnam. Cu Chi Tunnels is such a unique architectural work. Deep under the ground, there are many floors, many nooks and crannies and more.
Over 20 years of construction, Cu Chi Tunnels were completed not by a modern technique but from the hands of the local people who determined to preserve every inch of their homeland. And since then, Cu Chi has been the “home” of many classes of soldiers with intelligent guerrilla fighting that has shocked the American enemy, greatly contributing to the liberation of the homeland.
